New Here?

Welcome to Community of Faith UMC

We realize that life doesn’t always run on a perfect schedule, so we don’t expect you to either. Whenever you arrive, we’ll have a seat waiting for you because no matter where you are coming from, you'll find a place to belong at Community of Faith.

We worship weekly on Sundays at 10 AM both in-person and through Facebook Live.  Each Sunday, a worship guide is posted to this website as well.

At the 10 AM service, you will experience:

Inspiring, creative music that draws from a variety of sources -- from a traditional, inter-generational choir to a praise band, local guest musicians or vocalists, or a flute ensemble. A dynamic, relevant message offered by Pastor Abi or one of our deacons. We offer Communion weekly.

Children are encouraged to find a worship bag near the check-in table, which is designed to help them stay focused during worship.  Children begin worship with their families and participate in the time for children before heading to Sunday School during the sermon. On first Sundays, families remain together throughout the service, This spirit-filled hour provides an enriching way to refresh your soul as you connect with others in community.

Here at Community of Faith

We seek to build a faith community where everyone is welcomed and grows in faith to become deeply committed Christians. So, whether you are just discovering your spiritual journey, or you have been in church all your life, at Community of Faith you will find a family of...

Warm and welcoming people with a diversity of beliefs unified in Christ.

A safe place to question, understand, and grow in your faith.

Hands ready to join with yours as together we share God's love with each other and the world.

Some Important Details

We are a pretty informal congregation. You will find folks dressed in business casual and jeans, shorts and tee-shirts, sandals and dress shoes. We are just glad you are here. Weekly worship includes singing, reading of scripture, choral and instrumental music, times for silence and reflection to listen for God's direction, and a message that seeks to be relevant, applying the Bible to our lives as individuals and as a community of faith.

If you are mobility-challenged, please know our church is built on a slab without any steps. If you need assistance, just ask an usher who will be happy to help you.

Children and youth are an active part of the worship service and the larger, inter-generational community. Children serve as acolytes and youth are fully integrated into a variety of roles in worship from liturgist, drummer, tech team, communion steward, etc.  Wherever, children and youth feel led -- this church is a perfect place to nurture a heart for serving.  Younger children (infant to pre-K) may enjoy a professionally staffed nursery. Every first Sunday of the month, everyone is together for the entirety of morning worship.

Before and after worship there are refreshments in the lobby at the hospitality cart.

Starting Point

Want to get involved? Here's a little about us: We are a diverse community of adults, teens and children; students, teachers, self-employed, unemployed, government workers, and retirees; singles, couples, and multi-generational relationships; gay, straight, transgender and everything in between -- but most of all we are family.  All are loved for who they are!  A great place to get started is a conversation with our pastor & lay leaders.
